Service status
Every 15 minutes we test reachability from home broadband lines on all three major carriers in China, and publish every result — including the unflattering ones.
Methodology
Vantage points: RIPE Atlas probes on home broadband inside China, grouped into China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile by network number (ASN). No cloud or data-centre networks are used.
Frequency and pass criteria: one round every 15 minutes. A carrier counts as operational for a round when every valid probe on it completes a TLS handshake with at least one route.
Quality control: each probe also tests a domestic reference site, and rounds where that check fails are discarded. Probes that stay clearly worse than their same-carrier peers are replaced automatically.
How figures are calculated: availability = operational slots ÷ slots with data; peak hours are 20:00–23:00 Beijing time; data coverage = slots with data ÷ expected slots, with gaps during maintenance or restarts counted as missing. Figures stay hidden until 7 days of data exist and are marked "Under observation" until 30 days.
Known limits: probes sit in a limited set of cities and cannot reflect every provincial network policy. During network-wide events that affect all overseas connections, the status honestly shows as degraded.
Data source: this page reads the public endpoint https://api.yanmeiai.com/v1/public/status, which only contains carrier-level aggregates and never any server address.
